Be Gentle

If you’re brand new to yoga Yoga Fundamentals is a great place to start. This introductory class covers the basics and moves at a gradual tempo. Restorative Yoga is a great starting place as well but is appropriate for yogis of all levels, as is Deep Stretch.


 

Class Descriptions

 

Yoga Fundamentals
A class designed to cultivate a strong foundation for a healthy practice. In this class you explore the principles of posture alignment, breathing techniques and context the effects yoga can have on your body, health, and life. This class is taught in a non-heated room and is appropriate for beginners.
Deep Stretch
This quiet practice targets the deeper tissues that lay beneath the muscle layer. Beginning with Pratapana (gentle simple movements) to warm up the body, you will be guided into various postures and use the resource of breath as to explore your edge and free congested energy. This deep stretch class will improve joint flexibility, free stagnation in the muscle tissue, lubricate the joints and foster a quiet, meditative state. This class is taught in a warm room and is appropriate for all levels.
Restorative Yoga
This gentle style of yoga uses soothing and well-supported poses to restore your natural rhythm, dissolve tension and cultivate a deep sense of well-being that will support you well after the session is over. You will use soft blankets, blocks, and bolsters, so that the body opens gently, yet deeply from the inside out. Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing, bring a pair of socks and washcloth/eye pillow to help deepen your relaxation. This class is taught in a non-heated room and is appropriate for all levels.
