Lauren is a long-time student of yoga, beginning her practice at the age of 15. She turned to a deeper exploration of yoga after she injured her knee while training for the Chicago Marathon in 2006. A vigorous vinyasa practice allowed Lauren to connect to her body and mind in a way she had only previously achieved while running. After her father passed away in 2007, her practice evolved from a solely physical outlet into a healing source for her body, mind and spirit with the incorporation of meditation and various breathing techniques. Lauren completed her 200-hour teacher training at Moksha Yoga Center in Chicago. The training was truly an eye-opening and life-changing experience. She discovered her life’s passion – teaching yoga.
Lauren’s classes are alignment-based, and focus on strengthening as well as relaxation. She strives to create an environment where students can explore and expand their physical body and inner awareness, cultivating mindfulness on and off the mat.
