The Yoga Six Boot Camp Instructor Training Program is designed to make you sweat - and teach others how to sweat even more. We’ve developed a new program to prepare you to lead effective workout programs that achieve results, build a business as a fitness professional and deepen your passion for fitness. This course is rooted in the principles of functional strength and movement and qualifies for ACE continuing education credits.

Our program is backed by scientific principles that focus on functional strength and movement, delivered in a way that empowers students and serves as a vehicle for deep transformation. With detailed study of the techniques involved in interval training and the science of strength training, you’ll gain the skills necessary to become a knowledgeable, effective boot camp fitness instructor. You’ll walk away with the ability to teach a class with confidence and lead students through these challenging workout classes.

How to Get Certified to Teach Boot Camp

In order to become a Boot Camp fitness instructor, you’ll take a 30 hour Boot Camp Instructor Training to learn about body mechanics, Boot Camp methodology and how to structure and teach a Boot Camp Fitness class. Over the course of the Boot Camp instructor certification, you’ll learn how the body works during exercise and how to get the best results from a Boot Camp workout. Beyond the theory, you’ll have the chance to use your new knowledge and practice your skills in a group practicum. You and the other members of your Boot Camp Instructor Training will teach one another in order to learn what works well and how to adjust in a class setting. You do not need to be a certified fitness instructor to take this training, nor do you need to be an advanced Boot Camp student. Anyone can benefit from this Boot Camp Instructor Training.

Boot Camp Fitness Instructor Certification Objectives

Our Boot Camp Instructor Training has clear certification objectives so you know what to expect from this training course. By the end of your 30-hour Boot Camp Instructor Certification, you will understand:
  1. Benefits of functional strength training and how they relate to functional movement
  2. Human anatomy and physiology from a functional fitness perspective
  3. Basic physiology and biomechanics of movement
  4. Systemic exercise progression and regression methodology
  5. Effective methods to structure and facilitate class
  6. How to be a successful group fitness instructor
Throughout your Boot Camp Instructor Training, you’ll learn about the advantages of Boot Camp classes for students’ bodies, strength levels and agility. You’ll learn about using high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to maintain efficient energy usage for your students and to help them build endurance. You’ll discover how to motivate students during a challenging class and maintain energy and power during a cross-training session. With training in exercise science, Boot Camp methodology and technique, as well as learning signature exercises for the class, this Boot Camp Instructor Training with provide you with the skills necessary to teach proper technique over the course of a class to best benefit your students. By the end of the training, you’ll know how to structure a class effectively and you’ll walk away with lesson plans and teaching resources in hand for future use. Our Boot Camp Instructor Certification program gives you the necessary background to lead your students safely and positively so they can build strength confidently without injury.

Your Boot Camp Fitness Instructor Training will provide you with balanced instruction on the science and technique involved in teaching a Bootcamp class, as well as gaining an understanding of pedagogy, structures and methodology involved in becoming a Boot Camp fitness instructor. Our Boot Camp Instructor Certification curriculum is designed to help you understand the how the body works in order to best support your students and their development. This training course allows you to learn your strengths and challenges as a teacher and a student in a Boot Camp class. At the same time, you’ll be empowered to become a self-assured, well-informed instructor so you can teach your classes with confidence.

Yoga Six Boot Camp Training is an accelerator program led by knowledgeable instructors with diverse backgrounds in fitness. We offer an intense focus on practice teaching with on the spot instructor feedback to improve your teaching skills. You will learn to build effective workout programs that will inspire others to achieve results. You will receive teaching resources, an exercise library, organized lesson plans and programming tools to help launch or grow your business as a fitness instructor. Our Boot Camp Fitness Certification Training has been approved by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and qualifies for 1.9 continuing education credits.

Yoga Six’s Boot Camp Training is recognized by the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Graduates of the program will be certified to teach any group fitness class. Our program is based in exercise science and has been meticulously designed to teach the functional application of these concepts, respected for its empowering style and emphasis on sequencing and proper body mechanics.

Group learning is one of the many gifts that a training offers and it is impossible to recreate a moment in time or a session that is missed, but we understand that life happens and sometimes unforeseen circumstances come up. To receive ACE credit, you will need to attend the full program.

Not at all! Our training is about diving deeper into the science and functional application of these concepts. Anyone interested in learning more about fitness will get much value out of this program. Exploring your physical limitations and challenges will ultimately be the greatest tools in learning how to teach fitness classes to a wide range of people.

About 30% of people that sign up for our training have no intention of teaching post training. Many students take training as a tool to develop their personal knowledge of fitness.
