Some of you know Kara from Yoga Six Lincoln Park. Outside of the studio, Kara shares her love of Chicago, yoga, champagne on her blog, The Champagne Yogini! In her own words, Kara is “a firm believer in a healthy yet balanced lifestyle.” Therefore, she was the perfect person to help us, help you simplify holiday parties!
We asked Kara to share her secrets for simplifying holiday parties with us and she offered us three pieces of advice – be ready with champagne, a great dessert, and a healthy, warm entrée…
Headed to a party and not sure what to bring? Everybody loves cookies!
Kara’s Flourless Peanut Butter & Chocolate Monster Cookies are a great choice for the health-conscious party-goer that loves desserts! According to Kara, “taking a decadent desert and swapping out just a few ingredients to cut the calories is surprisingly easy!”
Best of all, “like most of [Kara’s recipes], this one is super interchangeable depending on taste or the ingredients you have left over.”
Hosting a handful of friends or agree to make an entrée for a party? Kara’s Healthy Turkey Chili is a great option!
Cooking for a vegetarian group? No worries! Kara said, “this is another really easy recipe to add or eliminate certain ingredients. I’ll provide a few alternatives ideas from different meat selections to keeping it veggie friendly.”
