Emily has been proudly drinking the yoga kool-aid since 2009. She likes to say that yoga has taught her how to ‘life’. Emily completed her 200-HR yoga teacher training in 2014 at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in Nassau, Bahamas, and has been teaching ever since. Through her classes, Emily physically and mentally challenges her students to discover their innate power. She encourages students to see obstacles on and off the mat as the muddy parts of life, overflowing with the enrichment and knowledge that are essential for growth. You can expect Emily’s classes to be physically challenging, filled with funky flows and beats. Outside of the studio setting, Emily utilizes the healing power of yoga as a form of alternative medicine for children at a residential psychiatric hospital. She is highly passionate about integrating yoga and meditation in the health care setting to treat mental illness and trauma.
